Christians have been quick to use new forms of communication, as they have become technologically available. Historically, spiritual revivals have often sprung forth on the heels of technological progress, as the Lord has used these new means to reach people who had never before heard of Christ. In the 16th century, the invention of the printing press made it possible for people to own a copy of the Bible for the first time. In the 17th century, advances in ships and navigation equipment made it possible for missionaries to bring the Gospel to every part of the world. In the 20th century, radio and television made it possible for people all around the world to hear the Word and worship together. Now, on the cusp of the 21st century, a new tool with more potential than all the others combined has been developed.

That tool is the Internet.
